As neurodiversity affirming therapists, we strive to work with people to adapt psychotherapy to meet their needs. Our counselors are experienced with neurodiverse individuals across the lifespan and are dedicated to meeting each client where they are. We have experience working with individuals and families who are seeking support with developmentally appropriate therapy, education, social skills, and other needs.
Symptoms of depression and anxiety can leave you feeling confused, unmotivated, stuck, or a plethora of other things! These symptoms often are individualized to the person, which is why we believe in an individualized approach. Strategies for managing these diagnoses often include a combination of exploration of your thoughts and feelings, self-worth, relationships and communication work, and lifestyle adjustments.
Stress and trauma can be some of the most challenging experiences we are faced with. Current research details the extent that traumatic events and long periods of stress impact us and our TOTAL wellbeing. At Rejuvenate, we use an individualized treatment plan that may consist of talking, education, and evidence-based interventions (such as Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). We also bring in your hobbies/interests and use creative approaches such as music, gardening, and spiritual work if desired.
Individual therapy is usually best when someone wants to work specifically on their concerns with their own mental health. This can be beneficial for self-discovery, learning new ways of thinking and behaving, working through past or current issues, as well as building self-esteem.
Family therapy is best when a family unit wants to work on the relationships between all of the family members. This type of therapy does not focus on any one individual, but rather the family unit as a whole.
Couple's therapy is best when two or more individual's are part of a romantic relationship and want to work on communication, trust, intimacy, or resolve conflict.
Children's therapy aims to assist children with learning new skills that might be especially challenging for them due to special needs, trauma, or other disruptions.
**Please note that Rejuvenate REQUIRES a family therapy component when working with children
Sometimes it is helpful to be around people who are experiencing similar symptoms or challenges. Having a small group support system can assist with accountability, normalizing your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, processing the tough stuff, and hearing perspectives that help creative internal expansiveness.
